Stellar Select Solutions Examine How Expectations Affect Success

As a highly successful direct marketing group in the USA, Stellar Select Solutions know all about expectations. They go into every event expecting to capture a much bigger market share for their clients and with that mindset, have achieved the successes they were after time and time again.

Danny Wakefield, Stellar Select Solutions’s Director, says that “Too many people go through life hoping to be a success but not really expecting it. This is not a new concept by any stretch of the imagination. One of the greatest motivational bestsellers of all times was The Power of Positive Thinking by Norman Vincent Peale. The first publication was in 1952 and has since been re-issued, the latest being in the early 1990s. A huge number of successful entrepreneurs gained valuable insights from Peale’s book, amongst which was the idea of ‘affirmations.’

“If you constantly tell yourself you are going to fail you will almost assuredly fail. However,” Tiarnan states, “if you affirm your capabilities and potentials on a daily basis that will surely rub off on your day to day living. This reminds me of that little book As a Man Thinketh that was also quite popular amongst entrepreneurs of the last century.”

The little booklet that Danny Wakefield is referring to is a collection of proverbs and sayings that discuss the human condition in relation to how we perceive ourselves to be. Whilst not actually an expose on the art of being positive, it does highlight the fact that we act on our perception of ourselves. If we perceive ourselves to be failures we will act like failures but if we ‘thinketh’ ourselves to be successful, we will start to act and live like a person who has achieved success.

The Director explains that no matter what business you are in and where you are in the process from being a start-up to an enterprise that has been established for some period of time, it is vital to believe that you will grow. There is nothing that hinders growth as much as insecurity or negative attitudes so they encourage their clients to always see success just over the horizon. From innovative product development to higher sales and increased profitability, if you believe that is in your future you will start conducting business as if it were already realised. Believe it or not, that is where change for the better, where accelerated growth, actually starts – an expectation of success.
